B.F. Sisk Safety of Dam Modifications, Phase II

Project Summary: Phase II of this Safety of Dams (SOD) program includes excavation of shear key materials and construction of new berms and internal drainage zones at several locations along the dam. The principal components of work include: clearing, grubbing and stripping; removal and control of water; removal of existing rock blanket material; excavation of existing dam embankments and foundations; excavation from borrow area; develop on-site quarry and process materials; placing earthfill consisting of sand filter, gravel drain, and miscellaneous fill materials; furnishing and placing shear key earthfill material; placing rock blanket material; constructing access roadways; constructing toe-drains; furnishing and placing gravel surfacing; construction of new permanent access roads; restoration and seeding; installation of new instrumentation.
